Spurgeon’s College is seeking the following three roles:

A Director of Ministerial Formation and Development to oversee, guide and deliver the College’s ministerial formation, training and education programmes. The role includes teaching ministerial units, coordinating student placements, liaising with Baptist Union and Association partners, and ensuring the highest ministerial standards are met. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the Director will contribute to the strategic development and academic leadership of the College.

A Director of Student Recruitment and Marketing to join its Senior Management Team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of a dynamic higher education institution, recently granted Degree Awarding Powers, with a global reputation for Christian theological education. As Director of Student Recruitment and Marketing, you will lead all aspects of student recruitment, marketing, and communications. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to attract a diverse, high-quality student body across undergraduate, postgraduate, and international markets.

Student Recruitment Officer to manage and enhance our student recruitment processes. This pivotal role involves being the first point of contact for prospective students, guiding them through the admissions process, and supporting the College's student recruitment initiatives. The position is based at the College's main reception area, incorporating reception duties as a secondary responsibility.
This role requires on-site attendance and does not offer remote working options.

Winchester Baptist Church - Church Administrator/Facilitator

Winchester BC

Hours: 25-30 hours per week (to be agreed)
Pay: £13 per hour with an initial review after the first 3 months. Occasional evening and weekend working may be required.


Winchester Baptist Church is involved in a number of activities serving both its own members and the wider community.  The Administrator / Facilitator supports and is an integral part of the church’s work and its focus on mission.
 
The Administrator / Facilitator is part of a staff team, including the Minister and the Seniors’ Worker, and is supported by a committed group of volunteers who share in the mission of the church. We are now seeking someone to ensure that this work continues to grow and flourish.
 
Applicants should have a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) to include English and Mathematics. A relevant administrative or business qualification will be advantageous.

Baptists Together - Baptist Pension Trustees

Trustee of the Baptist Pension Scheme
Providing governance oversight of the Baptist Pension Scheme, the Trustee Board gives valuable support to ministers and staff across the denomination. We are looking for a new volunteer to work alongside our experienced Board and Pensions Team, attending quarterly meetings. A career in pensions or the wider financial world and a heart to serve are particularly welcome.
 
Pension Investment Specialist    
The Trustee of the Baptist Pension Scheme is looking to strengthen its Investment Committee. If you have experience in pensions investments or Defined Contribution arrangements then please consider sharing this to help others.

They encourage you to discuss these roles with a Christian leader you know and trust, and to ask for prayer as you consider whether or not to express your interest.  They will be seeking references at a later stage if selected.

Winchester Baptist Church - Bookkeeper

Winchester BC

Job Summary: The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for the church, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and managed. This part-time role involves banking cash and cheques, managing gift aid submissions, processing payroll, allocating transactions within the accounting software, raising payments through the bank, and managing petty cash recording. The Bookkeeper will also undertake end-of-month bank reconciliation and end-of-year preparations for audit. They will liaise with the Treasurer to ensure timely and accurate management accounts are available each month. Appropriate approvals and governance will be in place to protect both the Bookkeeper and the church.

Remuneration, Working Hours and Place of Work:
- £14.50 per hour plus 5% pension contribution.
- 20 days holiday pro-rata, plus bank holidays.
- Part-time, 12 hours per week.
- 6-month probationary period – initial review after 3 months.
- Place of work is Winchester Baptist Church, with potential for hybrid work after the probationary period.
