SCBA Trustee NominationsTrustees

The SCBA Steering & Strategy Group (SSG) is the Council of the Association and meets around six times a year.  Members are Directors of the Company and Trustees of the Charity.  The group is made up of twelve elected members, as well as those who are either co-opted or ex-officio.  Those elected are normally appointed to serve for three years (except where filling a vacancy left by a member not completing their full term) and can be re-elected for a second term of three years.

Members of the SSG will also be asked to serve on other Committees of our Association which cover the strategic issues of concern, as listed below.  It is hoped that those seeking election may have an interest and/or experience in one or more of these:
  • Communications
  • Pioneering
  • Home Mission
  • Mission Development
  • Justice
  • Children, Youth & Families
  • Leadership
  • Safeguarding
  • Staff, Finance and Administration
The pandemic has highlighted how communication, training and connecting with one another more deeply and widely can be enabled through a range of online options alongside face to face meetings. Nomination of a trustee with specialist knowledge of digital communications would be very helpful.
